Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-01

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of agenticcli.dev and the ShipGuard product operated by agenticcli.dev (“we”, “us”). By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service description

ShipGuard is a local-first release gate for AI-generated code. It consists of:

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use ShipGuard only for its intended purpose of improving the security of your own software projects. You must not:

See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.

3. Subscription & billing

The ShipGuard CLI is free to use on the local tier with no account required. Paid plans unlock cloud scans and enhanced rules and are billed through Dodo Payments (merchant of record). By subscribing, you authorise Dodo Payments to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the interval you selected (monthly or annually). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods or for cloud scan credits already consumed, unless required by applicable law or stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

We may change plan pricing. We will give reasonable advance notice of price changes and you may cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Intellectual property

The ShipGuard service, web application, rules corpus, and all related software and content are owned by or licensed to agenticcli.dev. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our IP to you. The CLI binary is source-available under ELv2; refer to the licence file in the npm package for permitted and restricted uses.

Your source code and the scan output generated from it belong to you. We do not claim any rights in your code or your scan results. We do not use your scan results to train machine learning models.

5. Disclaimer of warranty

ShipGuard is a security aid, not a guarantee. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will catch every vulnerability, that it will be error-free, or that it will meet your specific security requirements. Running ShipGuard does not substitute for a professional security review.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, agenticcli.dev will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including damages resulting from a security incident that ShipGuard did not detect. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where agenticcli.dev operates. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction where agenticcli.dev operates, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
