Is the free tier really unlimited?
Yes. Local scans are free and unlimited, forever, with no account. You also get 5 cloud scans/mo on the free tier (then falls back to local rules). The local gate stays free — Pro and Starter add more cloud scans and deeper rules on top.
What counts as a cloud scan?
A cloud scan is when ShipGuard fetches the latest rule corpus from our servers to run against your code. Free includes 5/mo. Starter includes 10/mo. Pro includes 100/mo. Local scans (the five built-in checks) are always unlimited and free — they run entirely on your machine.
What is the difference between Starter and Pro?
Starter ($19/mo) gives 10 cloud scans/mo on a month-to-month basis — no CI gate. Pro ($29/mo, or $19/mo billed annually) gives 100 cloud scans/mo plus the
--strict CI gate flag and custom policy files. If you want Pro-annual, you pay the same $19/mo as Starter but get 10× the cloud scans and CI integration.Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — both Starter and Pro are month-to-month unless you choose the annual plan. When you cancel you keep the free tier exactly as it is today.
